While you're scanning, the device shows the Scanning screen. The screen has three sections: the view bar, the quality map, and the side bar.
View bar: Changes floors and views depending on which setting you're in.
Quality map: Shows real-time information about the scan you're performing, in 2D and 3D.
Side bar: Shows the battery status. You can manage settings and control the functions and features from here.
Side bar
The side bar contains the following functions that control the scanning procedure:
Battery status: The percentage of Li-Ion battery charge remaining
.Settings: Tap the Settings
to change settings.Panoramas: Tap the Panorama Preview
to view a list of the panoramas taken in the current dataset. You can edit or delete them. You can also view the number of panoramas in the dataset and a thumbnail of the last one taken.Control points: The Control Point
shows how many control points have been recorded. Tap it to add a control point, or to view, edit, and delete all control points added to the current dataset.3D/2D views: Switches the display between the 3D and 2D views
.Location: Tap the Recenter
to recenter the live map.Start/pause: Tap Start
or Pause 
to pause or restart the scan. This area also shows how much time has passed since the scan began.Save: Tap the Save
to stop and save the scanned data.
Quality map
The 3D quality map
View the environment in 3D mode. Use the 3D view to check coverage from different angles.
Interpreting the information shown on the 2D quality map
Check the 2D screen often while scanning. It gives you a general overview and tracks how complete your scanning session is.
The yellow arrow represents your current position.
The yellow lines extending from the yellow arrow represent the LiDAR rays emitted by the laser scanner.
The white line shows the route you've taken.
The map shows two types of panoramic views:
360° panoramic view.
270° panoramic view (this also indicates the direction with a small arrow).
The control point icon shows the location of a control point and its name.
The colors show how complete the scan is:
Blue: The ceiling and floor are mapped.
Light green: The ceiling is mapped, but the floor isn't mapped.
Dark green: The floor is mapped, but the ceiling isn't mapped.
White: Walls and other vertical objects.
System status messages
Errors and warnings are shown as pop-up messages.
Red warning: Indicates a critical issue that requires your immediate attention.
Yellow warning: Indicates important information that needs your attention, but you can continue to scan.
