In NavVis IVION, you can create multiple Sites within one NavVis IVION Instance. A site groups scan data, points of interest, and user permissions into unique projects or locations.
Note: Only global admins can add sites to NavVis IVION.
On the NavVis IVION Instance dashboard, click + Create Site in the bottom right corner of your screen.
Optionally, upload a preview image for the site by clicking Upload or dragging and dropping an image.
Enter a name for the site.
Optionally, add a description for the site under Site description.
If you want the site to be visible to all users, who have a link to the site, without logging in, use the toggle button under Site Visibility.
Note: If your instance is private, making the site visible means that all logged in users can view the site.
Click Next.
Pick a location for your site on the map. To do that:
Search for an address or coordinates.
If necessary, adjust the location of the location picker.
( Advanced) You can enter a precise location for your site. To do that:
Click Show advanced settings.
Select Lat & Long (WGS 84).
Enter the latitude, longitude and height of the base point.
Optionally, define a rotation for the spatial reference system by entering the angle or the rotation of the x-axis (
rx
) and y-axis (ry
).
( Advanced) You can define a spatial reference system as a projected, metric system for your site. To do that:
Click Show advanced settings.
Select Spatial Reference System.
Start typing a name and select the desired spatial reference system from the options that appear.
Pick a location on the map to define the base point. This will automatically fill in the
x
andy
values of the base point. Alternatively, you can enter these values manually.Note: The base point is the project coordinate system origin (0,0,0) and all site data needs to be loaded within 20km of that point. The data processed in a spatial reference system will not reference that point, but will reference the related EPSG code's real-world origin.
Enter the height of the base point.
Optionally, define a rotation for the spatial reference system by entering the angle or the rotation of the x-axis (
rx
) and y-axis (ry
).
Click Create Site.
