Finish Scanning with NavVis CLX

This page explains how to finish a scan, download datasets.

Finishing the dataset

  1. Tap Save from the screen.

  2. Tap Finish to end the mapping session.

  3. Confirm by tapping Yes. A preview of the dataset appears. The device finishes saving the dataset and the captured images, closes the Scanning screen, and returns to the Home screen.

    Caution:

    Do not shut down the device until this step is complete. Otherwise, your data could become corrupted.

Previewing datasets

  1. From the Home screen, tap Datasets.

  2. From the completed Datasets screen, select a dataset to preview.

  3. Each saved dataset shows a 2D map preview, the size of the mapped area, the dataset ID, the scan start time, the scan duration, the number of captured panoramas, and the number of captured control points.

  4. Tap the magnifying glass icon to open the Quality Map Review screen.

    • Tap the X to close the review screen.

    • Tap the plus or minus icons to zoom in and out.

    • As you zoom in, you can also pan and look around.

Retrieving your datasets

You can retrieve the datasets from the device in the following ways:

Connect directly

Connect the device to your computer and download the dataset files.
A person connects a device to a laptop for charging and data transfer.

Download the datasets from the microSD card

  1. Insert the microSD card into the microSD card adapter.

  2. Insert the adapter into your computer.

To process the dataset, either upload it to NavVis IVION Processing, or if you're using NavVis Desktop Processing, transfer it to your processing machine and continue there.

Turning off the device

Press and hold the power button at the base to turn off the device.
