Cleaning the Camera Lenses

Prev Next

Clean the camera lenses every time you remove the device from the Shipping Case or the Backpack. Before each scan, make sure the lenses are dust-free and free of fingerprints. Dirty lenses can make panoramas blurry and cause unwanted light effects during a scan.

  1. Remove dirt, dust, and water.

Use an air blower or soft-bristled brush to remove dust and dirt from the surface of the lens. If wet, gently dry the lens with a clean and dry microfiber cloth.

  2. Clean the lens.

Use a clean and dry microfiber cloth to clean the lens. Move it in a circular motion from the center of the lens.

  1. Deep clean if necessary.

If the lens is still dirty, put a few drops of isopropyl alcohol on the microfiber cloth and clean the lens again. Do not apply cleaning fluid directly onto the surface of the lens.

Caution

Excessive cleaning may damage the anti-reflective coating.
