Changing between 2D and 3D
You can switch between the 2D view and the 3D view with the 2D/3D switch in the side bar while scanning or while the scan is paused.
The 2D view
Use the 2D view for a quick top-down coverage check and to find unscanned areas on a simple floor plan. For information about interpreting the 2D quality map, see Quality map.
The 3D view
Use the 3D view to check coverage from different angles. It shows a live point cloud of the scanned area and can reveal vertical coverage gaps that are hard to read on a flat 2D map. This is helpful in tall spaces, split-level areas, complex infrastructure, and areas with large machines.
Navigation
Moving the screen
On the Scanning screen, you can pan, rotate, zoom, and center the 2D quality map during the scan.
Touch the screen and use your finger to move the map in any direction.
Use two fingers to rotate the map left or right.
Pinch the screen to zoom out.
Spread two fingers apart to zoom in.
Recentering the screen
Select Recenter to center the view on your current position.

Changing the floors
To check previously scanned floors above or below your current location, change the vertical view of your dataset.
Select the Pause icon during the scan.
Use the vertical view slider on the left of the screen to move above or below the current view. Each number on the slider represents 1 m above (positive) or below (negative) the device's current location (0 m). The selected value appears between the lines, and the Scanning screen shows the dataset at that height.

Tap Start to resume scanning. The vertical view slider returns to the current view (0 m) and is hidden.
