When NavVis IVION Go is first installed, it is not connected to a NavVis IVION Instance. To start using NavVis IVION Go, connect it to your instance.
When the app opens for the first time, it will prompt you to enter your instance's URL. Tap on the text field and enter it manually or tap the camera icon to open the text/OCR and QR-code scanner.
Once you accept, the OCR/QR Code scanner will open.
OCR/QR Code Scanner
The app has an OCR (Optical character recognition) and a QR-code scanner. To access them, tap the camera icon on the right side of the URL-entry field. If this is the first time you use this tool, you will be prompted to allow NavVis IVION Go to access your device's camera. Tap on Grant Permissions and allow access.
Note: NavVis does not share personal information, including images.
When using OCR, select Scan URL and point the camera at the NavVis IVION URL so that it appears in the highlighted area of the screen.
The app will automatically fill in the input field.
Note: Make sure to include https:// in the beginning of the URL.
When using the QR code scanner, point the camera at the QR code of a NavVis IVION URL so that it appears in the highlighted area of the screen. The app will automatically fill in the input field.
Note: If you are using Google Chrome, easily transfer your instance from your desktop computer to your phone: click the share button on the right side of the Chrome address bar and select Create QR Code.
Adding an Instance Manually
Tap on the keyboard icon or the x in the top right corner to return to the screen to manually enter the URL.
Note: Make sure to include https:// in the beginning of the URL.
Credentials
On the next screen, NavVis IVION Go will give you option(s) for the SSO (Single Sign-On) that is configured for your NavVis IVION instance.
Choose the SSO option that meets your needs.
The app will then ask for your credentials.
Follow the steps on the screen to authenticate yourself.
Note: NavVis does not manage the SSO process and cannot make changes to it.
If you choose not to use SSO, select Continue with IVION Credentials and log in with your NavVis IVION credentials.
Note: This screen will automatically show if SSO is not configured for your instance.
At any point, tap on Continue without login to access the instance without providing credentials.
After you have successfully authenticated yourself, the app will show you a list of Sites to which you have access. Read more in Exploring an Instance and Selecting Sites.
Note: NavVis IVION Go uses the same methods and credentials as your NavVis IVION instance. Admins do not need to give special access rights to users logging in through the app.
Changing the Default Authentication Method
You can change your instance URL and preferred authentication method.
Open the Hamburger Menu.
Select Instances.
Tap the edit button next to the instance you want to change.
