Use this guide when you upgrade to NavVis IVION 12.0.0 and need to find your way around the new interface. The left sidebar's contents moved: site information and settings now live in a Topbar across the top of the screen, and tools moved to a Toolbar down the left edge. No feature has been removed.

Note: Your permissions decide what you see. If a topbar button is missing, you do not have the permission it requires. Guests and visitors to public sites see a reduced topbar.
1. Topbar
The topbar includes controls for site information, navigation, and settings.

What moved here: Share, Site Settings, Cloud Processing (now Data processing), Datasets (now inside Site structure), Site Setup (now Edit site), and Spatial Model Management (now Model management).
Data processing opens a dropdown, so you can select a section directly instead of working through the side panel. The processing steps are unchanged.
2. Toolbar
The toolbar includes Mark & measure, POIs, Verification, Crop view, and Crop & download. Every tool in the toolbar opens a panel on the right. The view stays where it is, and nothing reloads.

3. One toggle for 3D and 2D
The main view, the secondary view, and the mark & measure split view are now a single 3D / 2D toggle.
Previously, users switched between main and secondary view, toggled 2D and 3D, or used split view in Mark & Measure. NavVis IVION now has a single, intuitive 2D/3D toggle to switch among these options.

4. Data layers and scene settings
The old View menu split in two: Data layers for what is visible, Scene settings for how the scene behaves.
Data layers holds Models, POIs, Measurements, Location markers, and 360° Location markers. Scene settings holds Cursor coordinates, Secondary view, and Orthographic projection, plus a Cropping box section while Crop view is open.

5. Point cloud settings
Click the drop-down menu on the 3D button to open the Panoramas, Point clouds, and Splats tabs. You cannot show panoramas and point clouds at the same time.
On the Point clouds tab, select a Quality preset and an Appearance preset, or select More settings for the full controls you had before.

Hide overlapping data toggle is available in both Panoramas and Point Clouds, because it controls visualization of point clouds or panorama location markers.
The same settings are now in Dataset alignment and the Site model editor, where each of the four panels has its own drop-down. The top and side orthographic panels share one set of settings, so you no longer choose between perspective and orthographic appearance in a side menu.

6. Switching sites
Select the site name to switch to another site directly, search for a site by name, or go Back to all sites. Your sites are listed alphabetically.
You can also select the NavVis logo in the top left corner to go back to the All sites page..

7. All sites page
The All sites page shows site search and Create site on the left, and the map on the right.

8. Search and site structure
Search and Site structure are both in the topbar. Search opens a panel with All, POIs, and Site entities result tabs. Site structure is where the datasets in a site are now listed.

9. Draft view
The draft keeps a side panel for site setup. A draft indicator next to the site name replaces the blue border and label.

What has not changed
Your data: Sites, datasets, POIs, measurements, and models are untouched.
Permissions: The same permissions control the same features.
Site settings: The relocated Settings icon opens the same options.
Cloud processing workflows: Only the entry point moved.
The REST API: The redesign does not affect it.
If you built an integration on the Frontend API, review the NavVis IVION 12.0.0 API page for changes.
