Updating the NavVis MLX System Software

Note: To update the NavVis system software you need a NavVis MLX license subscription.

You can update the System Software from the Help menu or the Settings menu.

Prerequisite

Connect the device to the internet by using the USB-C to Ethernet Adapter provided.

To check and update your device, perform the following procedure:

1. From the Home Screen, tap the Settingsicon.

   
   

2. Tap Check for updates.

   

3. The following screen displays as the system checks for updates.

   
   

4. If there is a new version available, the screen displays the following.

   
   

5. Tap Install Now.

   
   

6. When you are prompted for a password enter the word "mapper".

   
   

7. The screen displays that it is installing the new version.

   
   

8. Restart the device. Press the On/Off Button, waiting a few seconds while the device powers off, then press the On/Off button again.

   

Note: If the software of the device is older than three months, a reminder message and notification badge (red dot over the Settings icon) displays on the screen. If you tap NOT NOW on the reminder message, the reminder message will close, but the notification badge will remain until you update the NavVis MLX System Software.
