Instruction on how to change a NavVis device Time Zone

Scope

NavVis VLX and MLX

Prerequisites

Due to the small screen size, it is recommended to connect an external mouse to the device via the USB port to make this operation easier.

Procedure

Step 1: Exit the Mapping UI

1. Click the Settings icon.

2. Scroll to the bottom of the menu and click Exit.

3. The Ubuntu home screen is displayed.

Step 2: Open the Time and Date Settings

1. Click the highlighted section in the top right-hand corner of the screen.

2. Select Settings from the menu.

3. Scroll down and choose Date & Time.

Step 3: Change the Time Zone

1. In the Time Zone field, click on the current setting (for example, CET).

2. Search for your desired time zone.

3. Select the appropriate option once it appears and close the pop-up window.

4. The device time zone should now reflect your selected setting.

Step 4: Reopen the Mapping UI

1. Close the Settings window.

2. Click the NavVis Mapping UI icon to reopen the mapping interface.
