The Laser Scanner should be checked for dust and fingerprints and if necessary, cleaned every time the device is removed from the Shipping Case or Backpack.
Procedure
Remove dirt, dust, and water. If the Laser Scanner is dusty or dirty use an air blower or soft-bristled brush to remove dust and dirt from the optical surface. If it is wet, gently dry it with a clean and dry Microfiber Cloth.
Clean the optical surface. Use a clean and dry Microfiber Cloth to clean the optical surface. Always wipe the optical surface along its curve, not top-to-bottom.
Deep clean if necessary.
If the optical surface is still dirty, put a few drops of isopropyl alcohol on the Microfiber Cloth and clean the lens again. Do not apply isopropyl alcohol directly onto the optical surface of the Laser Scanner.
