What is an instance slot?

An instance slot is a placeholder that allows you to activate, deactivate, or switch between different NavVis instances as needed. It gives you the flexibility to manage your mapping projects in the cloud.

How do I get an instance slot?

Instance slots can be:

  • Purchased individually, or

  • Included as part of a NavVis Starter Kit.

Contact your Customer Success Manager to arrange the booking of a slot.

Where do I manage my instance slots?

Visit iv.navvis.com to manage your NavVis Cloud access and instances.

How do I create a NavVis Cloud account?

  1. Go to iv.navvis.com.

  2. Click "Sign up here" in the top right corner.

  3. Enter your first and last name and email address.

  4. Click Sign Up.

Once registered, reach out to your Customer Success Manager to book your slot.

Can I activate or deactivate an instance at any time?

Yes. You can activate or deactivate an instance within your assigned slot any time through your NavVis Cloud dashboard.

What if I no longer need a specific instance?

If you’re finished with a particular instance, you can deactivate it, and the slot becomes available to assign a new instance.

Can multiple instances be active in a single slot?

No. Each slot holds one active instance at a time. To run multiple instances simultaneously, you’ll need multiple slots.

Who should I contact to book or manage instance slots?

  • Booking new slots

  • Managing existing slots

  • Getting started with your instances
