Web Processing prepares your datasets for use in NavVis IVION by generating streamable point clouds for the browser and multi‑resolution image tiles from panoramas. It runs on post‑processed recordings or imported point clouds from NavVis mapping devices, and writes the web‑ready results to the project’s web directory, where you can monitor progress in the Activity Log.
What is Web-Processing?
Web-Processing prepares a Post-processed dataset for use in NavVis IVION. It does the following:
Generates streamable point clouds for viewing in the browser.
Generates image tiles in four resolution levels from the panoramas.
Performing Web-Processing
In the Datasets tab, select the datasets you want to web-process.
Select either post- and web-processing or web-processing from the drop-down menu on the right.
Click Start!.

If you chose post- and web-processing, web processing begins right away for any datasets that were already post-processed, unless post-processing is set to overwrite existing data. SiteMaker switches to the Activity Log tab to show the processing output.
Next Step: The Web-processed datasets are written to the datasets_web directory in the project base path.
