Introduction

Problem description

The NavVis M6 SSD was formatted for exFAT. After inserting the disk, the device couldn't boot up with the new SSD. There's only black screen on the display. This could be because the boot option of the NavVis M6 is set to external USB device, rather than the internal SSD that where the Ubuntu system is hosted.

Scope

Solution applies to the NavVis M6 with an exFAT formatted SSD.

Troubleshooting procedure

  1. Boot up your NavVis M6 with an external Keyboard connected. After pressing the power button, hold the F2 key to go to BIOS settings.

  2. Go to Boot options.

  3. Select the internal SSD to be the first boot order and move the external USB boot order to the end.

  4. Restart your device.
