Troubleshooting Upload Incomplete

Prev Next

Use this guide when NavVis IVION Processing shows an upload incomplete status for raw scan data.

How NavVis IVION Processing validates uploads

After you upload raw scan data, NavVis IVION Processing checks whether the upload is complete. During this check, the data shows a validating upload status.

  • If the check passes, the status message disappears.

  • If the upload is incomplete, an upload incomplete status appears and you cannot process the dataset.

Wait for the upload to finish before you set up processing tasks. If you set up a task while data is still uploading and the upload fails, the task stays in setting up and never starts.

Data can be corrupt even when the upload incomplete status does not appear. Corrupt data causes the processing task to fail. If that happens, contact NavVis Support.

How to fix the upload incomplete issue

  1. Copy the data again from the NavVis VLX SSD or the NavVis MLX USB stick to your local computer.

  2. Upload the data again over a stable internet connection.

  3. Confirm that the upload incomplete status no longer appears.

If the status disappears, the issue is resolved. You can now process your data.

If the issue persists, contact NavVis Support at support@navvis.com.

What causes the upload incomplete status

The upload can fail if any of the following happen before the upload finishes:

  • The internet connection drops.

  • The computer enters sleep mode.

  • The browser closes.

  • The SSD or USB stick disconnects too soon.

  • The computer turns off.
