Repairing your NavVis device

Introduction

Shown below is the procedure to follow should you require repairs for your NavVis device.

Caution: Discontinue using your NavVis device if it is not working correctly or you suspect a component is damaged. This advice also applies if an accessory such as the belt or a battery is damaged.

Note: Each purchased device comes with 1-year warranty unless agreed otherwise.

Repair procedure

1. Contact support with information

Contact NavVis support and provide information about the issue experienced. refer to Contact Us and Provide Information.

2. Technical analysis

After this, our support engineers will provide you with a technical analysis of the issue/damage, usually via mail, containing the following information:

  • The current warranty status of the device and whether or not it applies to the repair tasks necessary.

  • The type and possible location of the repair.

  • The expected costs and timeline.

  • The necessary shipping procedures.

3. Warranty and Quoting

The warranty regulations for NavVis devices are described in the NavVis General Terms and Conditions (GTCs). Only the version provided by NavVis at the time the product was ordered is valid. Please find our recent versions here for reference:

If your device’s warranty doesn’t cover the services booked, you will receive a quote. Refer to Quoting.

5. Shipping the device

For all repairs at a NavVis office as well as repairs at our German HQ the full device must be shipped. This is due to the fact that repair services can only be performed on the full device to ensure proper operation and compliance with NavVis data quality standards.

Please be aware that international shipments require extensive alignment from both NavVis and your company to avoid complications during the import/export procedures. These shipments take a significant proportion of the total repair time, so please consider them accordingly in your updated project schedule.
