Introduction
The NavVis IVION Connector for Autodesk® Construction Cloud (hereon referred to as the Connect) establishes a seamless connection between points of interest (POIs) in NavVis IVION and issues in Autodesk® Construction Cloud (hereon referred to as ACC), ensuring they remain synchronized. This allows users in AEC and other industries to improve issue detection, tracking and resolution. It does this by taking large-scale, high-accuracy NavVis as-is data from construction sites and buildings in NavVis IVION and combining it with ACCACC ’s industry-leading issue and document management.
The Connect offers two types of sync:
Basic Sync:
Links an issue type in a specific ACC project with the POI category in a specific NavVis IVION site.
Regularly syncs (creates, reads and updates) the content of issues with the specified issue type and the content of POIs with the specified POI category.
Moves attachments (e.g. field photographs) uploaded to an IVION POI to the linked issue so that files and documents can be managed in ACC.
Enhanced Sync (currently in closed beta):
Everything from Basic Sync, plus:
Aligns the point cloud in the linked NavVis IVION site with a RVT file in the linked ACC project
Regularly syncs positions of ACC issues in the RVT file and NavVis IVION POIs to make cross-team collaboration more efficient.
What is the workflow?
How can I get it?
Autodesk Account Admin needs to install the NavVis IVION Connector for Autodesk® Construction Cloud in ACC’s Account Admin section under “Apps” (no download required).
Ensure you have an IVION user with edit permission for POIs.
Ensure you have an ACC user with access to a relevant project.
Start the NavVis IVION ACC Connection from the Autodesk App Store to be redirected to integration web app for setup.
Setting up
What you will need:
NavVis IVION Core or Enterprise.
IVION site with NavVis VLX or MLX data, processed with IVION Processing, and correct roles and rights set up for NavVis IVION POIs.
Free NavVis IVION Connector for Autodesk® Construction Cloud from Autodesk App Store.
Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) account, valid subscription for Autodesk Docs and correct roles and rights set up for ACC Issues.
Before you can use the Connector , it needs to be added to your ACC account. ACC admins can find and add the Connect by navigating to “Account Admin” and then to the "Apps" tab.
In addition, you need a working NavVis IVION instance. Please contact your NavVis representative or visit https://www.navvis.com/ivion to get access to NavVis IVION.
The following are the main steps for setting up the Connect, refer also to the workflow video shown earlier in the document.
White-listing and authentication
Provide the URL of your NavVis IVION instance. (Note: Contact your NavVis representative to have your instance white-listed.)
In the newly opened tab, log in to your NavVis IVION instance and allow the Connector to access your instance. Close the tab.
Wait for the page to show a success message. Then log in to your ACC account and allow the Connector to access your project data.
Finish authorization.
Initialize sync setup
To create a new sync profile between ACC Issues and NavVis IVION POIs, click the "+".
Select the NavVis IVION site you would like to connect.
Select corresponding ACC project you would like to connect.
Choose the NavVis IVION POI category and the related ACC Issue type you would like to connect.
Choose the sync type. (Note: Enhanced sync currently in closed beta.)
Run basic sync setup
Create a POI in NavVis IVION for the initial positioning.
Assign the POI you created.
Save and activate your profile. The Connector will now automatically sync the assigned NavVis IVION POI category and ACC Issue type every 5 minutes.
Add and update NavVis IVION POIs.
Add and update ACC Issues.

FAQ
What is the NavVis IVION Connector for Autodesk® Construction Cloud?
The NavVis IVION Connector establishes a seamless connection between points of interest (POIs) in NavVis IVION and issues in Autodesk® Construction Cloud (ACC), ensuring they remain synchronized for improved issue detection, tracking, and resolution.
Do I need to contact NavVis before using the Connector?
Yes, reach out to your Customer Success Manager to begin the setup process for the connector.
Which languages are supported?
The app supports all languages currently supported by Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and NavVis IVION. This includes, but is not limited to, English, German, Czech, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. Additional languages may be available based on future updates to ACC or IVION.
Do I need to register the NavVis Addin in ACC?
Yes, you need to create a new application entry in ACC. This allows the NavVis Add-in to integrate with ACC services and access relevant project data. The registration is done in the "Apps" section of the Account Admin area, where you can manage app permissions and access.
Do I need an ACC project set up prior to initializing a sync?
Yes, you need access to ACC and an active project already established. Ideally, the project should have roles and issue categories defined. The same categories should also be created in IVION to ensure proper synchronization.
Why can’t I see all projects in ACC?
To enable project visibility, the Autodesk Account Admin must first install NavVis IVION Connector for Autodesk® Construction Cloud in the ACC Account Admin → Apps settings. Once installed, the integration will be able to access the relevant projects.
How to upload a Revit project to ACC to do an enhanced sync with NavVis IVION?
In Revit there is the collaborate icon in the menu bar you can use to set up your cloud connection, alternatively use the "save as" option "cloud model"
How can I change upload settings in Revit, I just see the sheet in ACC, not the model?
To change the upload settings in Revit, you need a BIM Collaborate Pro license. This allows you to adjust the upload settings directly within Revit.
I cannot see the ACC Project when trying to upload the Revit model.
If you're using a specific Revit version to upload to ACC, you must continue using that same version. Other Revit versions are blocked, and ACC projects will not appear if you're using a different version of Revit.
Is there are bi-directional information flow from both sides?
Partially. Data such as pictures, PDFs, and other synced content flows from IVION to ACC. However, this is a one-way sync by design, to maintain ACC as the single source of truth. Documents from ACC are not stored in IVION.
What happens if a POI is deleted, does the ACC user get the information?
When an issue is resolved, the corresponding POI can be deleted in IVION. However, there is currently no automatic notification or data sync back to ACC. Typically, the resolution is documented in ACC, and the project owner is then informed separately—via IVION or other communication—to delete the POI.
What types of sync does the Connector offer?
The Connector offers two types of sync: Basic Sync and Enhanced Sync. Basic Sync links issue types in ACC with POI categories in NavVis IVION, while Enhanced Sync includes additional features like aligning point clouds with RVT files.
Is an ACC project required before initializing a sync?
Yes, you need access to ACC and an active project already established with defined roles and issue categories.
