NavVis IVION Go is able to find your position inside buildings with 1 cm accuracy.
GPS (or, more precisely, GNSS) signals are blocked inside of buildings, therefore we cannot rely on satellite information to pinpoint your position. That's why NavVis has developed our own technology to locate users inside buildings using the visual information provided by their phone's camera. Positioning services are available for indoor sites or building complexes mapped with NavVis technology.
NavVis Positioning enables visual 6D positioning in NavVis IVION. This means that, given one or multiple query images, the full 3D location and 3D orientation of the device at the time of positioning are reconstructed.
To use the tracking feature, a license for Visual Positioning and Visual Index creation (available in NavVis IVION Professional and NavVis IVION Enterprise) is necessary. For further questions, please contact your CSM for support.
