Issue description
The post-processed cloud has vague colored patches in large areas. Very few details can be observed from the Point cloud, only shapes.
This could be because not enough panorama images were captured during the scanning. The processing software relies on the captured panorama images for color information. If you look at the example, you can see that there were no images in the middle portion of the scan (red dots mark the capture locations, the yellow line is the trajectory during the mapping). Therefore, the software was re-using the same color from the previous area, which created these vague color patches.
Troubleshooting procedure
There is no way to rectify this other than remapping. When remapping, use the automatic panorama triggering setting.
Tap the settings icon and set the automatic triggering parameter to 1.5-2 meters.
When you hear the beep reminding you to stop, stand still and the NavVis device will automatically capture the image.
FAQ

How does the processing software use panorama images?
The processing software relies on the captured panorama images for color information.
What should I do if there are areas without captured images?
If there are areas without captured images, the software may reuse colors from previous areas, leading to vague patches.
Is there a way to fix the vague color patches without remapping?
No, the only way to rectify this issue is by remapping.
What setting should I use when remapping?
When remapping, use the automatic panorama triggering setting.
What is the recommended automatic triggering parameter for remapping?
Set the automatic triggering parameter to 1.5-2 meters.
What should I do when I hear the beep during remapping?
When you hear the beep, stand still, and the NavVis device will automatically capture the image.
