Introduction
It is not possible to directly share a current view (a single panorama position) externally. The easiest way to share a panorama image is to provide access credentials. However, due to the privacy/secrecy of the scanned sites, this might not be a viable solution. The procedure below explains how to get the panorama location as a JPG, so you can then share the image without sharing the rest of the Site.
Note: use the Google Chrome web browser.
Determine the Dataset ID and panorama image number
While viewing the desired panorama location, press Ctrl+Shift+C on your keyboard. This will open the developers panel on the right side of your screen.
Navigate to the Sources tab at the top of the developers panel. Click on the arrow next to folder icon "data/<some_unique_number>/datasets_web/<dataset_id>" to expand the view. Click on the arrow next to folder "pano/tiles" and again on the arrow next to "r0/0". You will see this view:
In the yellow highlights above, you see the exact dataset ID and the panorama image number. Write those down. Close the developers panel by clicking on the X icon in the top right corner.
Locate the desired image
If you are using desktop processing, you can manually locate the desired panoramic image in the datasets_proc/<dataset_id>/panos folder on your computer. You can then share the location of the file. This is not ideal as the user might not have access to your processing computer.
If you are processing on cloud, you can download the panoramic images. To do so, go to the Processed Data tab in your cloud processing add-on, and select the dataset you want to get the panos from. This will download all the panoramic images, but you can select a specific image based on the dataset ID and image number.
You might also see a different pop-up for downloading in case control points were used. In that case select Other files → Panorama images.
