Sharing

The entire site or a specific part within the site can be shared with collaborators and peers from NavVis IVION. You can share sites, locations, POIs, Site Model entities, custom locations, measurements, and 3D model information. A site can also be shared outside NavVis IVION if it's marked public. See Make content public.

Share a location

1. In a site, click the Share icon in the topbar.

   

2. In the Share panel, use the Web address:

   • Click the copy icon to copy the URL.

   • Click the email icon to open a new email with the URL in the body. This needs a default email program on your computer.

   

A location share URL captures your current position and view orientation. It does not include any POI or Site Model entity you have selected.

Share a POI

Open the POI's details panel and click Share. When someone opens the link, their 3D view moves to a position and orientation where the POI is visible, and its details panel opens. Clicking Share also moves your own view there, so you can preview what they'll see.

Share a Site Model entity

Open the details panel of a building, floor, or room and click Share. When someone opens the link, their 3D view moves to the location closest to the centre of that entity.

Share a custom location

Long-press (or long-click) anywhere in the 2D map or 3D view to create a custom location, then share it the same way as a POI.

Share measurements

1. In the toolbar, open Mark & Measure.

2. Select the measurements or folder using the checkboxes.

3. Click the Share icon. The selected measurements appear in the Export Measurements dialog, each with its name, distance, point location, a copyable link, and a screenshot.

4. Click Export as PDF.

Share 3D model information

1. In the topbar, click Model management (the cube icon).

2. Open the menu in the top-right of the screen and click the Share icon.

3. Copy the model's web address with the copy icon, or click the email icon to send it.

How do I share a URL to my current view?

Click the Share icon in the topbar, then copy the Web address or email it.

What happens when I share a POI?

The recipient's 3D view moves to the POI's location and orientation, and its details panel opens.

Can I share a custom location?

Yes. Long-press anywhere in the 2D map or 3D view to create a custom location, then share it like a POI.

Can I share measurements?

Yes. Select them in Mark & Measure, click the Share icon, and export them as a PDF.
