You can create a SiteMaker project from an empty project directory or from one which already contains Datasets.
Open SiteMaker and click the Project tab.
Click New Project wizard at the top left of the tab to open the Create a New Project dialog.
In Step 1, enter the project name in the Project Name field. Typically, the name is the same as that of the project directory.
In the Project Location field, enter or browse for the project location.
Note: The project location is the directory where the project settings file is stored. Ideally, it should contain the datasets for the project.
Click Next.
If necessary, in Step 2, select the Define custom base directories checkbox and enter custom paths (or browse) in fields
datasets_rec
,datasets_proc
, anddatasets_web
. The default follows the standard file distribution (recommended).Note: The base directories contain the individual datasets from recording, post-processing, and web-processing.
Click Next.
In Step 3, if you used Control Points, select the Use control points files checkbox and enter or browse for the control point poses file. This file should include all surveyed control point poses for the project. This step is optional.
Click Finish.
The project settings file
<project_name>.ini
is created in the project directory. It saves the project name and location, the location of the datasets folders, and the processing settings.Note: If the project directory does not yet contain the directories
datasets_rec
,datdasets_proc
, anddatasets_web
, SiteMaker asks for confirmation before creating them. Copy Recorded datasets to thedatasets_rec
directory from the hard drive of the device. If the directories contain datasets, the datasets are loaded in the Datasets tab.
