What should I do if I input a wrong control point name during mapping

Issue description

This procedure describes what to do if you have entered an incorrect control point name recorded with your NavVis VLX. Sometimes you noticed that during scanning right after you saved a record, or maybe you found it during processing stage.

Troubleshooting procedure

1 If you found the typo during scanning

You have the option to change the control point name on the fly during scanning.

  1. Press the control point counter from the display, then tap "Edit" or "Delete" and make the changes.

  2. Refer to Control Point Management for more information in the documentation.

2 If you found the typo after scanning

  1. Find the anchor_poses_recorded.txt and anchors.txt file under your dataset: e.g. 2020-11-23_11.57.10/anchors/anchors.txt

  2. Change the ID names in the txt files, save it and put the dataset into processing.

  3. Refer to Dataset Control Points Info for more information in the documentation.
