Article summary

Introduction

NavVis IVION supports capturing data in many different coordinate reference systems. These coordinate systems can be exactly expressed using their EPSG number.

Procedure

When importing data into NavVis IVION, it is vital to create your Site correctly. When creating the site, two things should be observed:

  1. The site Base Point must be created within a 20km radius of all Datasets which are to be imported into this site. If datasets are out with this, attempting to import these will throw an error.

  2. The correct EPSG system must be chosen. As standard WGS84 is used, however if the data is captured in a different reference, this must be defined in the "Advanced Tab" of site creation. The image below shows where to search for and define the reference system.
