How to Hide Floors and Datasets in the Site Model

Prev Next

The following describes how to control which floors and datasets are visible in the site model editor. You'll need access to the site and a site model with at least one floor or dataset. By the end, you'll be able to show and hide floors and datasets as needed.

Hide a floor or dataset

  1. Go to Site Setup > Site Model.

  2. In the Datasets section of the side menu, find the floor or dataset you want to hide.

  3. Click the eye icon next to it.

The floor or dataset is no longer displayed in the viewer.

Tip: You can hide multiple floors or datasets by clicking the eye icon next to each one. This is especially useful when defining buildings or rooms, because hiding unneeded datasets makes it easier to work with a specific area.

Show a hidden floor or dataset

  1. Go to Site Setup > Site Model.

  2. In the Datasets section of the side menu, find the hidden floor or dataset.

  3. Click the eye icon next to it.

The floor or dataset reappears in the viewer immediately.

Notes

  • Hiding a dataset does not delete it. All data remains intact and you can make it visible again at any time.

  • Visibility changes do not require saving or publishing. They take effect immediately in the current session.

  • After making other changes to your site model (such as adding floors or rooms), click Save, then Publish to apply the changes.
