Updating the System Software

Update the NavVis M6 System Software from the Help (?) menu, or from a reminder message on the Home screen.

Note: When the NavVis M6 System Software is older than 98 days, a reminder message and notification badge (red dot over the Settings icon) appear on the main UI screen.

To update the NavVis M6 System Software from the reminder message, follow these steps:

Note: If you do not want to immediately update the System Software, click NOT NOW on the reminder message. The reminder message closes, but the notification badge remains until you update the System Software.

1. Connect to the internet via an Ethernet cable or Wi-Fi. If the Ethernet cable is not connected, the Connect to Internet screen appears notifying you to connect the cable.

2. To open a list of available updates,

   1. Tap CHECK FOR UPDATE on the reminder message.

      

   2. From the main screen tap the Help (?) icon > Technical Information > SOFTWARE UPDATES > START SOFTWARE UPDATER.

      

   3. Tap INSTALL.

   4. Wait for the installation to finish.

   5. Tap FINISH.

   6. Restart the device.
