Creating and editing an Alignment Bundle

Once you have added and aligned all Datasets in a Site, you can create an Alignment Bundle. You can manage bundles in the draft version of a site under Dataset Management. Bundles can be downloaded in the published version of the site.

The purpose of an alignment bundle is to save the locations of datasets and use that information to create a navigation graph and maps for the associated datasets.

Creating an Alignment Bundle

Procedure

Note: Bundles created in NavVis IVION 10.0.0 are not compatible with versions older than 10.0.0.

  1. Go to Site Setup > Dataset Management.

  2. Click Create new bundle to open the bundle editor.

  3. Enter a name for the bundle.

  4. Set the View and Edit permissions for the bundle. This gives the respective groups permission to view or edit the navigation graph and maps associated with the alignment bundle.

  5. To add datasets to the bundle, select the datasets you want to add from the Datasets without bundle column and click the arrow pointing left.

  6. To remove datasets from the bundle, select the datasets you want to remove from the Datasets in bundle column and click the arrow pointing right.

  7. Click OK to save the bundle.

  8. To edit the bundle after saving it, click the pencil icon next to the bundle name and make the desired changes.

  9. After creating an alignment bundle, you can add it to the site database.

Importing an Alignment Bundle

Procedure

  1. Go to Site Setup > Dataset Management.

  2. Click Upload bundle or dataset.

  3. Select and upload the bundle file from your hard drive. After uploading the bundle, you can add it to the site database.

Adding Alignment Bundle

After you have created an alignment bundle, you can add it to the site database.

Procedure

  1. Go to Site Setup > Dataset Management.

  2. Click the + button next to the alignment bundle you want to add to the database.

Downloading an Alignment Bundle

You can download an archive of an alignment bundle together with any artifacts (navigation graph and maps) associated with the bundle.

Procedure

  1. Go to Settings > Download data.

  2. Click the download icon next to the alignment bundle you want to download.

  3. Save the bundle to your computer. The file can now be archived

Managing Access Rights for a Bundle

Perform the following procedure to change view or edit rights for a bundle.

Procedure

  1. Go to Site Setup​> Dataset Management​.

  2. Click the pencil icon next to the bundle you want to manage.

  3. Click the View drop-down menu to change view access rights.

  4. Click the Edit drop-down menu to change the edit access rights.

  5. Click Save.

  6. Click Publish when you have finished.

Deleting a Bundle

Procedure

  1. Go to Site Setup > Dataset Management.

  2. Click the pencil icon next to the bundle name you want to delete. The Edit bundle screen is displayed.

  3. Select which datasets you want to delete from the bundle by clicking the corresponding boxes (or click All).

  4. Click Delete.

  5. Click Publish when you have finished.
