During processing, NavVis MLX combines input from all four cameras to create a panorama view or Gaussian Splat. The cameras have a fixed position on the device so their fields of view overlap as much as possible. The blind spots close to the camera head, where the surroundings are not visible to any camera. This keeps the operator out of the images. If an object, such as a wall, is too close to the device, the panorama may be missing image information.
