Every time your device powers on, it automatically runs a an IMU calibration. This step is crucial for stable, accurate scans and the result will stay valid as long as the device remains powered on.
Cautions:
Do not move the device during the IMU calibration procedure. Movement may result in inaccurate calibration results which can reduce point cloud quality.
This IMU calibration should not be confused with the general device calibration that aligns the sensors with the device. Refer here for more information on the general device calibration.
If the IMU calibration fails and the device cannot initialize, for example because there was movement during the calibration, refer to the UI which will display steps for performing a Manual Calibration.
Manual Calibration
Place the device on a stable, level surface as displayed in the UI.
Tap the Calibrate button.
Wait for the progress bar to reach 100%. This will take approximately 20 seconds. To cancel the calibration, tap Cancel.
The screen displays a message indicating that the calibration is successful.
In case this calibration procedure fails, please restart the device.
