# Viewing and Changing User Settings

From the **User Icon**![User profile icon representing an individual in a circular design.](https://cdn.document360.io/bf174766-fa1a-4fe1-a4d7-b1db1e7cb996/Images/Documentation/User icon.png)****located in the****top right of your **Instance Dashboar**d or Site**** you can view the groups you belong to, the permissions you have, edit your profile, set the language and unit system , view the documentation, and sign out of NavVis IVION.

1. Click the **User Icon**

- Click **Your Groups** to see the site location and the permission level you have for that site.

- Click **Edit Profile** to edit the profile associated with the instance:

> **Note**: In the event that a password becomes lost or forgotten the administrator of the instance needs to reset the password for you. Refer to Reset Instance Password.

  - Change the first name and last name.
  - Change the email address.
  - Change the password.
- Click **Language & Unit System** and you can select from the drop-down menus a preferred language and unit system. If you select **English**, you also have to select the unit system (metric or imperial). All other languages default to the unit system for that language. After you select the language and system unit, the interface immediately displays your selection.

- Click **Documentation**to view the NavVis IVION documentation.
