# Usage Metrics

These following metrics will give you an overview of your data usage for all Sites and NavVis IVION Instances.

## Cloud Storage

Cloud storage displays the storage size of all the Datasets uploaded (recorded data) and processed in NavVis IVION Processing and NavVis IVION Processing Enterprise.

> [!NOTE]
> **Note:**The counting does not affect the storage size and usage of NavVis IVION Instances.

For information on how the cloud storage is calculated and storage management tips refer to [Calculating the Storage and Processing Units](/v1/docs/calculating-the-storage-and-processing-units).

## Processing Balance

Processing balance accounts for post-processing and usage of other features such as Person blurring. The area is counted only within the 10-meter range of the mapping trajectory. Data outside of the radius is processed, but not billed. Overlapping area is counted only once against the balance.

> [!NOTE]
> **Note:**Successful reprocessing of datasets is also counted against the balance.

**Processing Units** are units of usage which can be used for all of data processing functionalities, such as post-processing, Detection and Person Blurring features.

> [!NOTE]
> **Note:**Processing Units are non-refundable and expire after one year. They require at least one active NavVis IVION Core or NavVis IVION Enterprise instance.

For information on how processing units are calculated, refer to [Calculating the Storage and Processing Units](/v1/docs/calculating-the-storage-and-processing-units).

### FAQ

#### What does the cloud storage metric represent?

Cloud storage displays the storage size of all the datasets uploaded and processed in NavVis IVION Processing and NavVis IVION Processing Enterprise.

#### Does the cloud storage count affect the storage size of NavVis IVION Instances?

No, the counting does not affect the storage size and usage of NavVis IVION Instances.

#### What is included in the processing balance?

Processing balance accounts for post-processing and usage of features such as Person blurring, counted only within the 10-meter range of the mapping trajectory.

#### Are processing units refundable?

No, processing units are non-refundable and expire after one year.

#### Do I need an active NavVis IVION instance to use processing units?

Yes, processing units require at least one active NavVis IVION Core or NavVis IVION Enterprise instance.

Site refers to a complex of one or more buildings displayed in a NavVis IVION instance. For example, the Munich Airport would be one site. An instance can contain multiple sites. Each site consists of one or more datasets.

A NavVis IVION instance is a copy of the NavVis IVION software running on a hosting server. An instance has a database which contains the associated datasets, users, and more. That data is accessible via the instance URL.

A dataset is a piece of a site, the result of a continuous recording with a NavVis mapping device or the result of an imported point cloud. Datasets can contain panoramic images and point clouds.

Functionality that allows processing of data recorded by NavVis devices. Processing recorded datasets is necessary to be able to use the data in an application like NavVis IVION.
