# Repacking Your NavVis CLX

1. **Remove the Li-ion battery.** Open the back cover and remove the Li-ion battery. Put the battery in the protective foam of the backpack.

2. **Leave the microSD card inserted.** The microSD card should stay in the device so it isn't lost.
3. **Insert the NavVis CLX into the backpack.** Insert the device into the protective foam of the backpack.

4. **Put the equipment in the box.** To prevent the buckles of the harness from damaging the scanner or camera lenses, put the harness system in its designated slot in the protective foam.

**Caution:** Do not transport the device with the Li-ion battery inserted. See [Li-ion battery preparation before flying](https://knowledge.navvis.com/docs/preparing-your-navvis-clx-for-the-airport).
5. Make sure all items are secure in the protective foam of the backpack.
6. **Secure the backpack.** Make sure the backpack is fully zipped up and secure.
7. **Insert the backpack into the shipping case.** Use the straps of the backpack to lift and insert it into the shipping case.

8. **Close the shipping case securely.** Secure all latches before moving the shipping case.
