# Replacing the NavVis VLX 2 Fan Filters

Follow these instructions to replace the fan filter on your NavVis VLX 2. We recommend you replace the fan filters once a year.

If it is clogged, replace it with a new filter that comes in the transportation box. We recommend you replace the fan filter annually. A clogged filter reduces the performance of the and it might overheat at temperatures below 30°C.

To replace the fan filters, locate them on the head and bottom as shown here.
