# Quality Checking a Site

This section describes the steps you can take to improve your users' experience after setting up a site.

## Checking Panorama Images

### Procedure

1. Go to a Site in your NavVis IVION Instance.

3. Look for any images that depict unwanted information such as people, objects and sensitive information.
4. If you find images that you do not want to show, right-click and select **Hide current location**.

> [!NOTE]
> **Note:**Images you hide in this way are not permanently deleted. NavVis IVION will not show a Location marker for them, meaning end users will not find them, but they remain in the database and on the web server.
5. Repeat these steps for all the sites in your instance.

## **Checking Navigation Graph Quality**

Good navigation graph quality is essential for successful Routing and positioning. You can test the quality of your navigation graph by creating a route through your building.

### Procedure

1. Go to a site in your instance.
2. Find a starting point for your route.
3. Right-click and select Route from here from the context menu.
4. Move through the site and find an end point for your route.

> [!NOTE]
> **Note:**We recommend choosing a long route and/or a route that covers multiple floors.
5. Right-click and select Route to here from the context menu. There is a box in the top left corner of the screen giving directions.
6. If no route is found, [edit your navigation graph](/v1/docs/adding-a-navigation-graph).
7. Check that the navigation graph meets the following criteria:
  - It is fully connected.
  - It covers all walkable space.
  - The structure is regular and consistent.
  - It accurately reflects the structure of the underlying building.
  - There are not too many nodes clustered in a small area.
8. Repeat these steps for all the sites in your instance.

#### Is it necessary to repeat the checking process for all sites in my instance?

Yes, you should repeat these steps for all the sites in your instance.

Site refers to a complex of one or more buildings displayed in a NavVis IVION instance. For example, the Munich Airport would be one site. An instance can contain multiple sites. Each site consists of one or more datasets.

A NavVis IVION instance is a copy of the NavVis IVION software running on a hosting server. An instance has a database which contains the associated datasets, users, and more. That data is accessible via the instance URL.

In the panorama view, you can explore your data in a seamless experience. In this view, you can see both panoramic images and point clouds. By default, the main view of the NavVis IVION interface shows the panorama view.

Location markers are the white discs displayed on the floor in the panoramic images. They correspond to the locations where the mapping device captured panoramic images. Clicking on one of them moves the panorama view to the location it stands for.
