# Post-processing fails after updating Desktop Processing Software

## Issue description

After updating to a new version of the NavVis Desktop Processing Software, the post-processing of Datasets fails repeatedly with an error message, which can include the following:

- self-test failed
- non-zero exit status 127

## Troubleshooting procedure

After every update of the software, a restart of the Ubuntu system is necessary to reset all dependencies and links correctly that have been changed from the old to the new version.

Restart your Ubuntu workstation or server that you use for post-processing of NavVis datasets to enable the new software release changes.

A dataset is a piece of a site, the result of a continuous recording with a NavVis mapping device or the result of an imported point cloud. Datasets can contain panoramic images and point clouds.
