# NavVis IVION Instance Storage

NavVis IVION Instance storage includes all NavVis Datasets, Bundles, or Point clouds uploaded to Dataset Management. Instance storage is different from the [NavVis IVION Processing Storage](/v1/docs/managing-cloud-storage-1). See [Instance Storage vs. Cloud Storage](/v1/docs/what-is-the-difference-between-ivion-core-and-ivion-processing-storage-1) for more information.

## Check the Instance Storage

You can check the instance storage under **Dataset Management** or **Subscription** in NavVis IVION.

### Dataset Management

1. Go to **Site Setup** > **Dataset Management**.
2. View the Instance Storage and Panorama Count at the top of the page. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/bf174766-fa1a-4fe1-a4d7-b1db1e7cb996/Images/Documentation/image-1760960275621.png)

### Subscription

1. From the instance dashboard, click the **Instance menu** in the top left corner.
2. Go to **Instance Settings** > **Subscription.**
3. View the total Instance Storage and Panorama Count, as well as the Instance Storage and Panorama Count for each Site.

## Instance running low on storage capacity?

### Instance storage

You have two options if you are running low on instance storage:

- Purchase a [NavVis IVION upgrade](https://knowledge.navvis.com/docs/user-guide#upgrading-your-navvis-ivion-instance-or-navvis-ivion-processing).
- Archive and then delete unnecessary bundles or datasets following these steps.
  1. [Download the alignment bundle](https://knowledge.navvis.com/docs/dataset-management-1#downloading-an-alignment-bundle) and save it outside of NavVis IVION.
  2. [Delete the alignment bundle](https://knowledge.navvis.com/docs/dataset-management-1#deleting-an-alignment-bundle-or-dataset-without-a-bundle) to remove it from the instance storage and panorama count, or [delete only the unnecessary datasets](https://knowledge.navvis.com/docs/dataset-management-1#deleting-datasets-from-the-database).

> [!NOTE]
> **Note:** Make sure to publish the changes after making changes.

### Panorama storage

If you are running low on panorama storage, you can unload datasets or bundles. This will remove the datasets or bundles from the database, but keep them in the site. Unloading datasets or bundles does not remove them from instance storage, but removes the panoramas from the panorama count. Follow these steps to unload datasets or bundles.

1. Go to **Site setup** > **Dataset management**
2. Click the - Unload button next to a dataset or bundle to unload it. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/bf174766-fa1a-4fe1-a4d7-b1db1e7cb996/Images/Documentation/image-1760960611325.png)

> Note: In NavVis IVION, panorama images cannot be permanently deleted directly. When you find unwanted panorama images in the Panorama view, you can right-click and select [Hide current location](/v1/docs/hiding-images).

### FAQ

#### What is included in NavVis IVION Instance storage?

NavVis IVION Instance storage includes all NavVis Datasets, Bundles, or Point clouds uploaded to Dataset Management.

#### How can I check my Instance storage in NavVis IVION?

You can check the Instance storage under Dataset Management or Subscription in NavVis IVION.

#### What steps do I follow to view Instance storage in Dataset Management?

Go to Site Setup > Dataset Management and view the Instance Storage and Panorama Count at the top of the page.

#### What should I do if my Instance storage is running low?

You can either purchase a NavVis IVION upgrade or archive and delete unnecessary bundles or datasets.

#### Can I unload datasets or bundles to manage panorama storage?

Yes, unloading datasets or bundles will remove them from the panorama count but keep them in the site.

A NavVis IVION instance is a copy of the NavVis IVION software running on a hosting server. An instance has a database which contains the associated datasets, users, and more. That data is accessible via the instance URL.

A dataset is a piece of a site, the result of a continuous recording with a NavVis mapping device or the result of an imported point cloud. Datasets can contain panoramic images and point clouds.

Bundles, specifically referred to as Alignment Bundles in NavVis IVION, are collections of related datasets that have been grouped together after being aligned. The primary purpose of creating an alignment bundle is to save the relative locations of these datasets to each other, enabling coordinated management and use within the system

A three-dimensional representation of an environment, made up of many points. A point is defined by x, y and z coordinates, and it may or may not contain RGB, an intensity value, and normals.
