# Can I move the NavVis M6 trolley when in “Pause Mode”

Yes, you can move the trolley when paused.

Note that the “[Pause Mode](https://knowledge.navvis.com/docs/mapping-functions#pausing-the-scan)” only means that the laser scans will not be added to the Point cloud. You must still move slowly because the localization is still running, localizing the trolley within the current map. We recommend you move just as slowly as when mapping is active.

Also note that the Pause Mode is not the same as Disabling Automatic Image Capturing. When [Smart Triggering](https://knowledge.navvis.com/docs/additional-system-information-1#camera-settings) is off, the 3D laser scans are still running and building the point cloud. In this case, you may of course move the trolley, but you will have to trigger the cameras manually to also capture panoramic images.

A three-dimensional representation of an environment, made up of many points. A point is defined by x, y and z coordinates, and it may or may not contain RGB, an intensity value, and normals.
