# How to Project Your NavVis Device Screen

# Introduction

This describes how to project your NavVis device screen for presentations or troubleshooting by connecting via Ethernet or Wi-Fi and enabling screen sharing.

# Procedure

## 1 Connect your NavVis device to the internet

- This can be done preferably via the Ethernet port.
- Alternatively, Wi-Fi can be used following these instructions: [Connecting your NavVis device to Wi-Fi](/v1/docs/how-to-connect-your-navvis-device-to-wi-fi).
- The NavVis device and the computer in use must be connected to the same internet network.

## 2 Exit the Mapping UI

## 3 Turn on screen sharing

- Optionally, a keyboard or mouse may be connected to the device to eliminate the need for the small display and make the setup easier.
- From the VLX

  - Connect via your computer.
- From the MLX.

  - Connect via your computer.

## 4 Connect via VNC on your computer

- Linux
  - Download any VNC client (Tested on Remmina).

  - Download any VNC client (Tested on VNC connect).

  - Download any VNC client (Tested on TightVNC).
  - Add a new VNC connection using the Serial number of your device as the Server then click **Connect**.
