# How to Change a NavVis Device Time Zone

# Introduction

Instruction on how to change a NavVis device Time Zone

### Scope

NavVis VLX and MLX

### Prerequisites

Due to the small screen size, it is recommended to connect an external mouse to the device via the USB port to make this operation easier.

# Procedure

### Step 1: Exit the Mapping UI

1. Click the **Settings** icon.

1. Scroll to the bottom of the menu and click **Exit**.

1. The Ubuntu home screen is displayed.

### Step 2: Open the Time and Date Settings

1. Click the highlighted section in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
2. Select **Settings** from the menu.

1. Scroll down and choose **Date & Time**.

### Step 3: Change the Time Zone

1. In the **Time Zone** field, click on the current setting (for example, CET).

1. Search for your desired time zone.

1. Select the appropriate option once it appears and close the pop-up window.
2. The device time zone should now reflect your selected setting.

### Step 4: Reopen the Mapping UI

1. Close the **Settings** window.
2. Click the **NavVis Mapping UI** icon to reopen the mapping interface.
