# How to Backup Your NavVis IVION Site

## Introduction

### Purpose

To migrate a NavVis IVION Site to another site or instance or to archive a site, backup the site using the following procedure.

### Backup the site components

1. **Bundles:** [Download all Alignment Bundles](/v1/docs/dataset-management-1).
2. **POIs:** [Export all POIs + attachments](/v1/docs/importing-and-exporting-pois#exporting-pois) from the **POI types** menu.
3. **Processed data:** [Download processed data](https://knowledge.navvis.com/docs/downloading-processed-data) from **Data processing** > **Processed data**.
4. **Site coordinate system and base point**: Note down the [site coordinate system and base point location](/v1/docs/editing-a-site-location).
5. **Site cover image:** Optional: Download the site cover image from the [Instance dashboard](/v1/docs/exploring-an-instance). Go to the dashboard put your mouse over the image and right-click>Save As.

> **Note:** Raw data, user groups, site configurations, models and vector maps cannot be backed up.

### Migrate the site components in the following order

1. [Set up the new site](/v1/docs/adding-a-site) with the same site coordinate system and base point, and upload the site cover image.
2. [Upload the bundles](/v1/docs/dataset-management-1#uploading-navvis-datasets-from-your-hard-drive) to Dataset management.
3. [Import the POIs and attachments](/v1/docs/importing-and-exporting-pois#importing-pois).

#### What is the purpose of backing up a NavVis IVION Site?
