# How to convert the coordinates measured by total station from left hand to right hand coordinate system

## Introduction

### Purpose

If control points were measured in a Left hand coordinate system using the total station, they should be converted to the right hand coordinates which are the standard for NavVis.

## Procedure

Replace the X with the Y coordinate and the Y with the X.

Example: Converted:

X Y X Y

10 20 20 10

The Z coordinates must remain the same.
