# Detection and Blurring

The **Panorama Settings** section in data processing includes two privacy-enhancing features: person blurring and license plate blurring. These features ensure privacy standards and meet data protection requirements.

- **Protects personal identity:**Faces and license plates become unreadable.
- **Enables safe sharing:**Data can be distributed to clients, partners, or public platforms.
- **Maintains spatial usefulness:**Unlike deletion, blurring keeps overall scene structure intact for measurements and navigation.

## Person Blurring

Person blurring is a feature that allows you to blur faces and bodies that appear in your NavVis IVION Instances for privacy and confidentiality. It automatically detects faces and bodies in the Point cloud and panoramas and blurs them during post-processing.
