Only a site administrator can change these settings. ## Open the Site Configuration screen 1. In a site, select Settings (the gear icon) in the topbar. 2. Go to Site Configuration. 3. Select the configuration options you need (see the sections below). 4. Deselect any menu items you want to hide in the site. The following menu visibility options are available. - **Site Structure**: shows/hides the **Site Structure** menu item on the left side bar. - **Sign in**: shows/hides the user icon in the upper right corner. - **New window**: shows/hides the menu option to open NavVis IVION in a new window (only relevant if NavVis IVION is embedded in a website as an iFrame) - **POIs**: shows/hides the POI **types** menu item on the left side bar. - **Settings: shows/hides the setting menu on the left side bar.** - **Share**: shows/hides the **Share** menu item on the left side bar. - **View**: shows/hides the **View** menu item on the left side bar. ![Site_Configuration_Menu_Visibility](https://cdn.document360.io/bf174766-fa1a-4fe1-a4d7-b1db1e7cb996/Images/Documentation/Site_Configuration_Menu_Visibility.PNG?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-14T07%3A52%3A44Z&se=2026-10-14T08%3A52%3A44Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=ikZpBMmIhlCgViH6UpUzfSK%2BW3ZWMM5pQ%2BWhgE0eP3o%3D) ## Appearance By checking or clearing the selection from the boxes, choose whether or not you want to: - **Hide the site from the dashboard for Guest Users.** When checked, the site will not be displayed on the instance dashboard. - **Show POI and** Site Model **details as full-screen dialog.** See [How to change the size of the POI panel](https://knowledge.navvis.com/docs/how-to-change-the-size-of-the-poi-panel). - **Show POI names in the** Map view**.** - **Show POI names in the** Panorama view**.** - **Check and adjust POI visibility** Use the up and down arrows at the end of the line **Maximum resolution of the panorama images loaded for mobile users** to change the level of panorama detail loaded for mobile users. A higher value means the panoramas will be more detailed. The recommended values are 2 or 1. To show only POIs of a specific category, enter the category number under **Only show POIs from categories** as a comma-separated list. To find a POI category number: 1. Go to **POI types**. 2. Click the pencil icon next to the specific category. 3. For example, to use Google maps enter the URL: https://mt2.google.com/vt/lyrs=m@167000000&hl=en-US&x=${x}&y=${y}&z=${z} - **Map tile size (px)**: Select the tile size of the map in pixels. - **Map tile zoom bias**: Adjust the threshold for loading a new tile zoom level depending on the user's zoom level. - **Maximum map tile zoom level**: Select how far your maps can be zoomed in on a scale of 0 (fully zoomed out) to 22 (fully zoomed in). - **Minimum map tile zoom level**: Select how far your maps can be zoomed out on a scale of 0 (fully zoomed out) to 22 (fully zoomed in). - **Map attribution**: Select which map to display as a background layer. The following options are available: - **Share button on the POI panel**: shows/hides the share button on the detail panel that displays when you click a POI. - **Floor changer widget**: shows/hides the floor changer widget on the right side of a site. - **Detail panels**: shows/hides detail panels, for example the detail panel that displays when you click a POI. In the Primary view configurations settings, select the primary startup view for desktop and mobile devices. This setting determines what the default primary view will be when you open a site. To change or set the starting location: 1. Navigate to the desired starting location in your site. 2. Go to **Settings** > **Site Configuration** > **Starting Location**. 3. Click **Set startup view**. 4. Point Of Interest A site model is a three-dimensional model which clusters information by assigning meaningful names to clearly defined areas in the space of a site. With a site model, you can define and name the buildings, floors, rooms, or even more fine-grained spaces, of a site in NavVis IVION. Among other things, this information is used to create the floor changer and enrich POI search. In the map view, you can see the 2D maps of the site and where the site is located on a world map. By default, the map view is displayed in the mini view, which is the small window in the bottom right corner of the NavVis IVION interface. Clicking on the two small arrows on the bottom right corner of the screen switches between panorama view and map view. In the panorama view, you can explore your data in a seamless experience. In this view, you can see both panoramic images and point clouds. By default, the main view of the NavVis IVION interface shows the panorama view. A Point Cloud is as a collection of data points in space that typically represent the external surface of an object or environment. Point clouds are used in various applications, including 3D scanning and mapping, and can be visualized and manipulated using Navvis IVION. You can perform actions such as panning, orbiting, cleaning up noise, cropping, and downloading data in formats like .e57 or .ply. The resolution of point clouds processed with NavVis Software achieves a minimum detail of 5mm, indicating the precision of the spatial data points. User Interface
