# Cleaning the Housing

## The external housing of NavVis VLX can become dirty after handling. This includes the:

- Frame
- Folding mechanism
- Head and body

1. Remove dirt and dust.

Use a damp cotton cloth or sponge to wipe away loose dirt and dust.
2. Clean gently.

Apply a few drops of isopropyl alcohol to a clean cloth and gently rub the surface to clean it. Avoid applying isopropyl alcohol directly onto the NavVis VLX.
