# Cleaning the Housing

The external housing of NavVis MLX can become dirty during usage on a work site.

1. Remove dirt and dust. Use a damp cotton cloth or sponge to remove loose dirt and dust.
2. Clean gently. Put a few drops of isopropyl alcohol on a clean cloth and gently rub the surface clean. Do not apply isopropyl alcohol directly to the NavVis MLX.
