A site groups scan data, points of interest, and user access rights into a separate project or location. You must be a global admin to complete this task. > [!NOTE] > **Note:** Only global admins can add sites to IVION. 1. To make the site visible to all users who have a link, without requiring them to log in, switch on the toggle under **Site visibility**. Select a location for your site on the map: 1. Search for an address or coordinates. 2. (*Advanced*) To enter a precise location using latitude and longitude: 1. Click **Show advanced settings**. 2. Select **Lat & Long (WGS 84).** 3. Enter the latitude, longitude, and height of the base point. 4. (*Advanced*) To define a projected, metric spatial reference system for your site: 1. Click **Show advanced settings**. 2. Select **Spatial Reference System**. 3. Start typing a name, then select the spatial reference system from the options that appear. 4. Click a location on the map to define the base point. The `x` and `y` values fill in automatically. You can also enter these values manually. > [!NOTE] > **Note:** The base point is the project coordinate system origin (0,0,0) and all site data must be loaded within 20 km of that point. Data processed in a spatial reference system does not reference that point; it references the real-world origin of the related {{glossary.EPSG}} code. 5. Enter the height (`z`) of the base point in meters. 6.
